In the last year this bank has done some pretty underhanded things. The first incident was my pay check which i written out to me or my company name. I deposited the check in my personal account as i did many times, with no problems. The I got a notice of being overdrawn. And i found out the reason was they returned my pay check, because it was a company check. So i got charged overdraft charge.
Then I lost work, and was out of town looking for work, and had wrote a check from my Discover Card for cash. The check was sent back by Discover, and they had given me the worng amount for available balance. So I called the bank and explained what had happened, and my account was overdrawn. They told me fine when I got my check in a month to come in and pay the charge and everything would be ok.
In the mean time there were charges that were already out there, (because of their delay in taking care of them) that the account went more in the negative. Of which they just kept accepting them and then charging me $30 fees left and right. Why does a bank let $4. Charge go through when you account is negative? Most other banks I have had stopped the charges, they wouldn't let it go through. I called them about that and the woman got nasty with me saying I was a crook, and I should have kept intouch with my account, it was my responsibility to make sure it was taken care of. Sure when I am away and trying to find work, and I am the customer and expect my bank to be looking out for my best intrest, not taking advantage of the situation to make $30 charges on my. And to get nasty to me on the phone, and make threats.
