I recieved a letter in the mail recently telling me that Chase has closed my account. The reason they have closed my account is because I filed for bankrupcy. The thing is I paid off my Chase card completely before I even seen the lawyer to start the bankrupcy so this shouldn't be affected. I paid off $1400 on the card. I called and spoke to them. The first customer service person agreed and transfered me to disputes department. The said they were not the proper department and sent me back to customer service. They said they couldn't do anything about it and offered to give me a physical address to write a letter to. I asked to speak to a manager and of course when they transfered me, they disconnected me. I tried going on their website to contact them that way but there is no physcial or email address or complaints area. Just a phone number. This should not be an issue when I have completed every payment I have had with them since I have had the card on time.
