This company said my loan was ready to go as I had a loan already with them. They kept offering me more money because I was such a good customer. I said I needed to be in and out as I have appointments later in the day.
They kept me in their office for 6 and half hours requiring paperwork. The whole time I was there they said it would be 20 more minutes. They said the first loan was done in error and they needed more tax info. I had to contact my accountant and wait for them to fax over several years worth.
Meanwhile waiting for them to hurry the hell up, I was being told by several reps that I had to have this insurance. Just had to have it - and then I could cancel it tommorow - they told me this both times I was up there. They were saying that it would help them make commissions and If I just sign up for it and cancel it tommorow then they would get paid for that.
I dont appreciate the scam they are running and I dont appreciate being bombarded about insurance when coming to get a loan.
At the end of the day - these people said the loan was turned down - AFTER ALREADY TELLING ME BEFORE I CAME THERE THAT IT WAS APPROVED. While I was there they were telling me that they just needed some more documents and the loan would be complete. That is when they came out and said that they made mistakes on the first loan and it was done in error.
Well while being up there - I lost my appointment and Citi Financial cost me a $5,500 sale. That would have been in my pocket the following week. So ya know what Citi Financial - as I see it, you owe the difference between $5,500 and the outstanding balance from my old loan.
I am filing every type of complaint I can. Please stay away from this company.
