I recently recieved the notorius yellos card from ACS. I researched the net and found your site - what an eye-opener! Out of curiosity I called them and recieved the spiel that so many people have already described. They readily admitted they wanted me to send them $199.95 as proof of a checking account. I suggested that they call my bank and confirm that I have, not one, but several accounts.
They stated that by law they could not do that, that I would have to deposit the money to prove it. Hmmm, everybody else can call the bank to confirm checking accounts - just can't get amounts or numbers, so why can these people not do it?
Thanks again for the information, hope it keeps others from falling prey to these scum sucking bottom feeders!
