First Premier Bank Card
First premier bank card more "fun" with first premier

8 AM this fine Sunday morning, I get a call from First Premier, telling me that because of the previously reported unauthorized debits from our checking account that were returned unpaid (including the ones marked "unauthorized transaction"), the $140.50 balance my husband owed is now over $700, and they are sending it to "charge off" in 14 days.

I asked for a manager and after a 5 minute hold, got one. I explained to her that hell would freeze over before we rolled over and paid these fees, as they had already taken out $162.00 more than the amount authorized to begin with, not to mention that it was taken out almost ten days earlier than the date authorized.

She then told me her "notes" showed that my husband authorized ALL of the debits on August 25th. I pointed out to her that I am the one who spoke to them on the 25th, not my husband, as he leaves all financial matters to me.

And his credit rating improved dramatically since our marriage. We have financed a car (on time), he has 5 other major credit cards, gasoline cards and store cards. It is not that we are trying to "beat" them... I just refuse to let them beat us. $140.50 balance becomes $700.00? AFTER they took the $142.50 and more? Oh, hell no!

"Manager" started a tirade about my two previous reports to the Better Business Bureau and boasted about no action being taken. I sweetly pointed out to Ms. Uncongeniality that First Premier paid for their membership, did not earn it, and the 100 reports about them on THIS site belies that they "meet standards."

Ms. Uncongeniality became even more belligerent when I mentioned all of the fine reading about First Premier on "The consumer complaints." Her response?"NONE of that is accurate." I told her, "I think most of it is." She got quiet and said "what makes you think that?"

I then told her, "because the stories are all very similar." She began ranting and raving AGAIN, so I informed her that I have already filed a complaint with the Attorney General, so she can do what she needs to do and we will do what we need to do legally.

My husband has already filed disclaimers with all three credit bureaus on this account.

If First Premier offers you a card, JUST SAY NO!
