With my family going through financial difficulty, I arranged to participate in a "Match Program" through Sears Mastercard/Citi card. This program would allow us to pay up to a maximum of $599.00 and they would "match" this amount on our account. We had this agreement over the phone (with a name and confirmation number). When we called back to make the payment of $600.00, verification was noted of the program, & payment was made... All was well. Two weeks later we called back to verify cleared payment of our check and that they "matched" our payment. To our surprise they could not find ANY information regarding our agreement in the match program nor record of our conversations. We could not get any help. They would not match our money as prior agreed to nor would they allow us to talk to a manager! We have confirmation numbers and names with codes for each person we have talked too! No one is willing to listen or help! They have no character or belief in backing up what they say. We made sacrifice to come up with the $600.00 in good faith and with no regard they broke their end of the agreement. We since have begun the ordeal of contacting through emails and letters those who may be able to right this terrible wrong. Is there any justice?
One lowly David amongst a world of Goliath's!
