In January I completed an online application on www.northamericanloanservices.com and completed an application for a personal loan. A few weeks later, I received a call from someone named Victoria Miller who informed me that I was approved for a loan in the amount of $5000 at a 7% interest rate. She also informed me that due to my credit history that I would have to pay a 10% security deposit.
I reviewed the contract that i received via fax and the information about the company. Everything seemed legitimate, I completed and faxed the application. I worked directly with Victoria Miller, who informed me that I will have to wire using Western Union the funds to a representative of the agency named Tope Williams.
On 2/1/08, I wired the money to Tope Williams as requested. I called the company to inform them that the wire transaction was completed. The asked me for the confirmation number and informed me that the funds should be transferred to my account within 24-48 hours.
On 2/4/08 when I did not receive the funds, I called the agency to inquire as to why the funds had not been transferred to my account. They informed me that they deposited the funds and i should receive the funds first thing in the morning.
As of 2/5/08, I have not received my loan. I called and emailed the company several times and left several messages no one has returned my call or emails.in the afternoon of 2/5/08 I tried to call again and I received a message that the phone number is unavailable.
