I have a very common name so when CPS started leaving daily, nightly, weekend multiple messages for *Tim Jones about his 2000 Ford, I called them and politely told them that my name is Tom Jones and I don't know a Tim Jones, I don't own nor have I ever, a 2000 Ford and I also don't have any delinquent debt. That didn't stop them! They call constantly and the last time I picked up the phone to tell them I am not Tim, nor am I hiding this person whom I don't know - I asked the caller if they are just phishing - calling everyone in the U.S. Named T. Jones? I informed her that there are a million Jones and we don't all know each other. She hung up on me. She called again later!!! I got concerned that these people could actually try to attach some stranger's debt to my credit. I checked my credit report, and that hasn't happened, but I wouldn't put anything past this unethical company. I have contacted the Illinois Attorney General Consumer Fraud Hotline.
