When BB&T token over our bank, big changes in buisness. They are the rudest and most unfriendly group I have ever worked with.
We live in an age if instant acces. But BB&T have no idea what this means. They have a 2:00 cutoff timeline for deposit. If you don't have your money in before 2:00 you don't see it for 3 days. If you put it in before 2:00 you won't see it for at least 2 days.
How many people can afford to wait 2 days for their money to bbe deposited 2 to 3 days later. If you have a check that comes thru the bank, even through you have deposited your money, they send the check back and charge you 27.50 for NSF.
How many people who work can leave their job to bank before 2:00. I was told by their online people that if you do direct deposit it still takes 2 to 3 days for you to get your money. There is also a service charge for you to direct deposit.
I deposit money and credit cards into my husband buisness account, they showed in 7 days, when Bank of Louisville had the account it was 2 days and sometime almost instant. It takes 7 days for a check (s) for a buisness to clear, even if it is local.
Talk abougt being behind the times, BB&T just took banking back about 8 years.
The people they sent in to take over this nice friendly bank, were nasty and rude to the people who worked there. They also started right to do away with some of their jobs. I have moved my account after being at Bank of Louisville since 1985. These people at BB&T are heartless, crude, rude, tasteless and as one of them said to a clerk as I was standing there "You will do things my way, there will be no doing buisness as usual now. BB&T has the only way to bank, no other bank does."
While they are holding your money for 3 to 7days they are drawing intertest and making money off of yours and still charging you with NSF funds. How fair is that? They make sure they give you your account number about a week after they have taken over. Then they forget you need a routing number to go alone with your account.
When you call and ask for the routing number no one know anything. They shift the buck to some one else, who by the way does not know.
They will not answer e-mails or letters sent directly to their corporation offices. I guess they think they don'/t need to hear about the bad practices they have brought into this banking world of the century. I am so furious about this whole thing. BB&T are you a one of these banks shifting money that is not legal?
