On dec. 4 I received a telephone call from matthew Fenwick regarding a loan, which I have applied for in the amount of $5,000. I was told to send a moneygram for $911.00 to a Sandra Walden in Chester, NS, Canada, because she is personally giving me the loan at a 6% rate and once I do that the money will be transferred into my account the next business day before 5:00 P.M.
I did that, then the next day I get a phone call from Mr. Fenwick's manager Michael Taylor to tell me that the loan has been reevaluated and that I needed to send them another $900 to receive the loan. I was furious because I was counting on that money to pay my car payment and get christmas gifts for my kids. I told him that I could not do that and that I wanted a refund. Mr. Taylor told me that I would get a refund in the amount of $923.60 deposit plus interest on the next billing date which was January 2. Well, I just checked my bank and it is not there and when I call the number all I get is a woman's voice saying goodbye.
This is a very expensive lesson for me because I lost so much because of this. Since applying for this loan I lost my car because I sent them the money instead of paying my car payment, thinking that when I get the loan I can make the car payment. I hope someone can help me get my money back from these scammers somehow, because it is not fair for them to get away with this scam.
