I've been with E*Trade for about 2 years now. I've never been a big trader as I was, and still am, new to the whole trading/mutual bonds/stock scene. Since Febuary of this year till now I have been an inactive trader, I did however want to see how my stocks were doing. So I check it today, my stock is doing just wonderfully, but as of September these people are charging me $40 a quarter and I have only $2.36 left on my account after 1 quarters worth of fees and I will be negative next quarter! That's extortion! The fee alone wiped out my account!
It's ashame that a company like this has to resort to ripping off the small investors.
