I was given a prepaid $50 Vanilla Visa Gift Card, which I had used to make some purchases for services with Godaddy. On 30 OCT at 1am, I bought a fax through email service for 9.99. The next day I realized that I needed the next higher up service, which had a cost of 14.99.
Godaddy issued a refund on 30 OCT for the initial 9.99 at 3:15pm, which they told me 'cleared their gateway' the next day back to the card company.
They have confirmed that the card company has the funds numerous times. On 12 OCT I was asked by the card company to fax in my receipt of refund by Godaddy and I was given a 'ticket #", which my call today (13 NOV) confirmed that there was nothing done on the issue to resolve. The card company employees claim that there wasn't ever a refund given and that I would essentially be 'out' of the 9.99 since it did not appear in their system at all.
Godaddy had made a good faith gesture in this incident by providing me 2 free months of website hosting.
