I contracted with Abraham, Roth, and Associates and Steve Kahn to collect a $2500 invoice due to me from large corporation. On October 10th, they (Rich) advised me that they had collected on my behalf, and would send me a check for 80% ($2000) on October 24.
On October 25th when I called to find out if the check was sent, I spoke to Jessica and she advised me the check had not been sent, apologized, and promised to send it out that afternoon. On October 30th, I spoke to Jessica again, she apologized for not sending the check, and said that she would send it on Monday, November 5th and then call me to tell me it had gone out. She has not called and nobody answers the phone there.
The voicemail frequently fills, and if you can leave a message, it is not returned. Emails are also ignored.
It has been over a month since they collected my money, and instead of taking 20% and sending the rest, they've taken 100% of it.
I can't stress how disappointed I am to have to fight to get the money due to me. I was willing to pay a premium ($500) to make it stress free, and instead it's been a lot of frustration and worry dealing with a company with such poor communication skills and (apparently) crooked too.
