Ocwen IS the worst company in America... OR sorry, India! Because that is where you are sent when you call. I am one of thousands of "Stupid American's" that were lead astray by unscrupulous refinance mortgage brokers, looking to make quick money at the expense of others. My adjustable rate went from 7% to 10% and will climb to 14%.
I make good money and have a steady job as a respiratory therapist (for over 10 years now). Plus, I have a second job as a contractor. Even though construction has slowed down to a crawl, I have secured work through a registry and can work 7 days a week if need be and can make a "reasonable" mortgage payment.
Our Government even realizes the impact this will have on our economy, and very soon.
I have attempted to contact OCWEN for over a year, sometime I get through but there is NEVER anyone to actually help. The techs just say things like "sell your home" or "File BK". Other times, I have been on the phone for over 3 hours, being transferred from one department to another, requesting forbearance papers, loan modification papers etc, only never to receive them. I received one loan modification form dated Sept. 24, on Oct. 17, and it said in the papers that I must have it back to them within 10 days from the date on the letter. I faxed the information today. When I tried to call them to confirm they received them, I got an all to familiar message, "Do to technical difficulties, we are unable to take your call at this time, please try back later. I also tried their website, and it to was down. This is not the first time this has happened either. I would LOVE to remain in my house and be a homeowner. Do to unforseen circumstances which we all are aware of, I can not refi, sell, or, because of OCWENS poor customer service, work out any agreement to save my home.
I rented a storage site today and have begun moving my belongings in. I am afraid that I will be losing my house because Ocwen will not even answer the phone, let alone my questions.
