I took out a $2500 loan from Cash Call and have been paying regularly. I had a stroke in June and am unable to work any more but I continued to pay out of my savings.
I called to tell them today to tell them my savings are almost exhausted and asked if they could take $109 the first of November and $109 the first of December (that would be half payments so I would technically be 1 payment behind). My SSA check begins in January and I could resume full payments. Customer Service was nice but transferred me to loan modification and the man there said No. No program available. Had to pay the $216 each and every month (even if I did not have the money) and if I went more than 30 days they could ask for the whole thing.
I am not hiding, trying to get out of paying, making every attempt to pay my bill but they won't even CONSIDER helping out. As I said, I am not saying "I don't want to pay anything for 2 months." I am trying to make 1/2 payments for 2 months. No way!
I think this is horrible. I didn't "plan" to become disabled. I don't know what to do about them.
