My Mortgage was sold to this company 2 months after I did my closing. I had no knowledge of this transaction. I was receiving statements from this company for payments of more than my mortgage amount. One day I called up the previous mortgage company and told the representative what was going on.
At that time I learned my mortgage was sold to them. I questioned, "why didn't anyone inform me of what was going on?" I was told everything stays the same my loan was just sold. I informed them that everything changed because I was being charged escrow fees when I didn't escrow. I was told that wasn't to happen and they would get back to me.
Mind you My insurance was paid up for the year and two weeks after receiving my tax statement They went behind my back and paid the taxes. Now I am being charged for this year taxes and next year taxes. I notified Homecomings regarding what they were doing and the representative was very rude to me and told me I was delinquent in my taxes so they had to pay it. I said "How can I be delinquent when the statement came out and you guys took it upon yourself to pay may taxes without my knowledge and I had three months to pay my taxes. I was told I escrowed and I know I didn't the old mortgage company also informed me that I did not escrow, so they are not suppose to escrow me. I requested a copy of their documents, so I can compare it to mine.
As of this date I have not received anything as yet. I receive my statrments at the end of the month instead of the beginning, My Mortgage is $400 more than I suppose to pay. I am very worried I am a first time homebuyer with fair credit and I desperately need help.
