Think your lucky? Think again? I too recieved a pink slip with a confirmation code from the NAAC. The difference in my case is that I entered a valid and real sweepstakes by filling out a questionaire about 2 months ago. I thought that this was from that. About a month after the pink slip. I was sent a letter that I had won $1,900, 000 and all I had to do was meet the deadline with my ONE TIME ONLY fee of $19.99 for the report. On the back they explained why they needed the report fee. I figured, what the hey it was only 20 bucks and I will admit it I am a bit gullable but never again. I sent my 19.99 and within 1 week I recieved confirmation that my payments would start in June. BUT at the bottom is said that I had to meet the deadline with my ONE TIME ONLY fee of $29.99. Ok, this is where my gullablility ended.
Since my little endeavor, I have recieved over 100 different letters from the NAAC, CPDS, CPA, DDC, and many other companies saying they are affiliates of NAAC requesting a ONE TIME ONLY fee for a large sum of money. The funny thing is each time the fee gets larger and that $1,900, 000 sum gets smaller.
FEE SUM
$ 19.99 $ 1,900, 000
29.99 1,800, 000
39.99 1,700, 000
59.99 1,500, 000
ETC...
What happened to my $1,900, 000? It never existed! Oh! The worst part about it is I work at a place that sends out win opportunities for a bank. But these are for $50-100 and they are real and for the members of the bank. But I read these letters front to back and they really do look legit exept for that ONE TIME ONLY FEE.
Moral of this story, dont pay money for money!!!
