We started the morning of June 20th off by playing pass the buck with Wells Fargo. They ran us around so much today. We made so many phone calls, only to be passed off to another manager, then another manager, then to another manager...
After the way things have been being handled by Wells Fargo from the 1st of June to the 20th, We decided to go in and cancel all of our automatic payments we had coming out of our account, since wells fargo, and any other company related to them it seems, can't seem to get it straight and do what we need them to. This included our mortgage payment, line of credit, and my wife Cheryl's car payment.
At 12:09pm on June 20th, we enter Wells Fargo / Lynwood Branch in Twin Falls, ID. We first approach a teller named Bianca Vargas, with
Amy Russell standing close by. We start the process by telling the two of them that we want to stop payment on all of our automatic payments. Amy Russell then takes over the process.
My wife has been with Wells Fargo in Twin Falls for 7 years, and every transaction she has made since her time living in Twin Falls, has been at the Lynwood Branch. Things have been decent with WF until the 1st of June. Robin Sharp is the Branch Manager, and should not be in management AT ALL!!! She knows absolutely NOTHING about dealing with the public or people in general. At one point in all of this, she (Robin), actually told my wife " I can't help you " and just hung up on my wife. Now that's not very professional, is it.
What made Cheryl and I decide to pull out all of our automatic payments and cancel our accounts with Wells Fargo is this:
On June 1st, Friday, right before we were to go on vacataion to Seattle, WA leaving on the 4th, we go into the Wells Fargo Lynnwood Branch to
sign a suspension of payment for our mortgage. We needed cash for vacation. First, my wife calls the bank and Sandra Miller takes the call.
Sandra tells my wife that we can't do the suspension over the phone and that we must come in and sign a paper. So, with in 10 minutes of the phone call, we arrive at the bank to sign suspension papers. Pretty simple, quick in and out deal. We might have spent 10 minutes there at most. Sandra had the paper ready when we arrived. Since Cheryl has had this account for 7 years (30 year total counting other cities she has lived in and used WF), she never thought, nor did she worry about getting a copy of this transaction. This is the 3rd time Cheryl has done this type of transaction with the Lynnwood Branch. Never needed copies before. The only difference
this time is that she did not use the same person to do it. We were assured that everything was taken care of and the payment would be delayed for 30 days as we requested.
So we left for Seattle on Monday the 4th. The person Cheryl used to use, Joshua Rose, had been promoted and transferred to the downtown branch. More on Joshua Rose in a couple of minutes.
Heres where the nightmare begins: (june 11th)
While we were in Seattle, we find out that Wells Fargo did not delay our payment, as per the paper we signed, took out our mortgage payment any way, on the 11th of June, and created a living hell for my wife and I. We were using our debit card while on vacation to avoid using any credit cards. So basically just running on the cash from our account. With our mortgage payment being suspended for 30 days (or so we thought), we had more than enough money in our account to cover our automatic payments
that we knew were coming out during our vacation period, and the cash we needed for our vactaion.
But guess what happened? Everything started going into the negitive!!! We were already a week into our vacation before we discovered what WF had done. Our account started spiraling out of control. $34.00 charge after $34.00 charge. They drained our Savings Account too, since it was linked to our Over Draft Protection. From Savings - $539.15 there all by itself. Not to mention $700.00 in misc charges to include all of the $34.00 charges from our Checking Account directly.
Since I am also a web designer, I have created a webpage you can view that contains screen capture images of our personal online account, that shows all of the actual over draft charges and fees Wells Fargo took from us. You can view it all, including mine & Cheryl's personal wells fargo online account (with all personal #'s removed, acct #'s etc.).
SEE THIS WEBPAGE BY GOING TO: http://wellsfargo. Scottsthebest.com
There is also an entire folder available for download, of results I have found of other people who have filed reports against wells fargo. There are literally hundreds of complaints against Wells Fargo, from all over the country. They are a terrible bank that only seeks to rip off it's customers. BEWARE!!! And always protect yourself. GET COPIES OF EVERYTHING YOU DO, OR SIGN...
My wife and I have been being passed from manager to manager, from branch to branch, just trying to get this whole matter resolved and get our fees back that the bank IS NOT ENTITLED TO in the first place, because the error was definately Wells Fargo's. Wells Fargo, since they did the wrong paper work,
misrouted the paper work, or what ever the reason is, they are telling us, like we are stupid or something, that WE NEVER FILED THE PAPER WORK!!! What the hell is this? I went in personally, and identified the woman who did it all for us, Sandra Miller. She just played dumb with me, and told me that they NEVER do this kind of transaction. RIGHT TO MY FACE!!!
The Branch manager, Robin, backed her up and said the same thing to me. They are definately hiding something. They made a mistake, and just wont accept the responsibility for that mistake. At one point, one of the managers we spoke to in all of this, agreed that there was indeed something wrong with all of this, and had discussed our situation with yet another manager. That manager, I have forgotten her name, we have talked to at least a dozen yesterday, said that they would credit our acct $170.00 as a " courtesy ". Are you freaking kidding me? When they owe us many hundreds of dollars?
We did not accept this offer. We are still battling this matter and will not stop until we receive all monies we are entitled to!!!
BACK TO JOSHUA ROSE, our former Lynnwood Branch representitive. We thought he was a " stand up " kind of guy. Cheryl has been using him for years. Come to find out, he is no better than any other WF employee. When he was approached by another manager as to us doing a deferred or suspended mortgage payments in the past (Cheryl has done this twice before with him), he rolled over too. He denied everything. Cheryl and I both, considered Josh to be a great guy. Not any more... Josh is
" spineless ", just like the rest of the WF employees and managers we have been speaking with the last few days. Cheryl and I only want the fees and overdraft charges that are rightfully ours. However, should an attorney want to assist us in retrieving these fees, we will be happy to go after more, way more $. This whole escipade has made my wife sick, I mean REALLY sick. From all of the stress this whole situation has now placed upon us. Any attorneys out there willing to take this case on contengency? We have no money... Wells Fargo has taken it all from us.
