Deceptive ripoff i was told that they would help me w / advertising but didnt

Hi, my name is vincent. About 2 years ago i was doing some research in magazines for home-based businesses. Well, i came across this company and did some research on it before buying into their "business". Anyhow, i was very short on money so i borrowed it from my sister. She actually let me use her credit card since i was so broke. Well, needless to say i was very anxious during the next week while waiting for the ups guy to come. When it finally arrived i immediately began reading their written materials and viewing their dvd's several times over just to make sure i was well informed and ready to answer questions from potential clients. I am originally from oklahoma so the weather there is always changing and i figured that the people there would be willing to test out this new way of cleaning and sanitizing their beds.in the brochures, website, and dvd's i was informed that thousands of europeans get their mattresses cleaned every week or month and that dealers should get in on this opportunity while there are still time. Anyhow, i used their advertising dvd and printed out hundreds and hundreds of fliers and proceeded to pass them out all over in the oklahoma city area.

I tested varying neighborhoods from lower-middle income families to mid-high income families. Hygienitech suggested that king sized beds should be charged $65 for this service. (what you actually get in the dealers kit is a kirby vacuum with an attachment on it that emits a uvc light, and a few other items that you buy for $8995) so anyhow, i knew that people would not know what this new sanitizing method was and to bring them in i lowered the price they suggested from $65 to $45 for a king sized bed. (hey, i wanted to get people in the "door") so i proceeded to pass out the fliers (recruiting my little niece and nephew to help me because i was a little intimidated passing out fliers). Well, i expected during that first trial run of fliers that out of the 500 or so fliers that i would be happy with a response or even an inquiry of somewhere around 10-15 people. Do you know how many people responded? ZERO! Ok, i thought to myself, maybe the price was too high. Maybe they just dont know what this service is. So, i called doug who is living in florida where hygienitech is based and told him my situation. Well, he said that he would help me modify the flier and he would email it to me. Days went by... No doug, no email. Ok, maybe he's busy i thought.

So i called him back and told him that i was still waiting for the email he promised. The email that he was going to tweak for me and personally customize for me to draw in responses. So i waited again... Days go by. Finally, a week has gone by now and i call him again. Well, simply put, he just sends me a couple of attachments i can print out. Guess what? The attachments were the same as the fliers that they originally gave me to pass out. Wow! Thanks for taking the time to help me after i sent you $9000 thats all the support i get? (i was told that i would get ongoing support, but the support turned out to be nil). Thanks doug! So anyhow, i saw that i couldnt rely on doug so i had to go back and try to modify the flier myself. I again reduced to price from $45 to just $29.95! I was desperate. Well, i printed out several hundred more fliers and proceeded to pass them out again and again. Well, after passing out close to 900-1000 fliers do you know how many people called? 2! Thats right, just 2. I made a whopping $60! Sigh. Several months later i moved to california and thought to myself that californians are health freaks so my chances are much better than when i lived in okc. Again, i enlisted the help of another niece and proceeded to pass out hundreds of fliers... ZERO called. For those of you who are thinking to buy into this company DON'T! I have been struggling to pay back my sister the money and am now stuck with a way overpriced kirby vacuum cleaner. I wish i could go back and never have bought into this, but at least i learned a lesson and i hope you do too from reading my story. Doug, if you are reading this i hope that you try better to help out those that have invested so much money in this. $9000 might not be that much to you, but to someone like me, it was a devastating blow. Take care all of you and God bless...
