This lady called me and said because I was a great customer with Wachovia Bank that she was told to call me and let me know that I had won some rewards for using my card and they were giving me gas vouchers worth $100, air fare to anywhere worth $400, certificates for free stuff, a phone card that me and my family could use, and it would not cost me anything, all I had to do was look over some pamplet. And to make sure that they had everything correct and to make sure I was the right person they were talking to they made me verify all my personal information even my account number. I really believed it was a bank representative and I got fooled. When I checked my account online I saw they withdrew $149.00. So now I have to go to the bank and change my account just because of some stupid people.
Now i get this pamplet in the mail. It says if I'm not interested that I have 7 days to contact them.
I tried to log on to their www.freedomgold.com, and am told it can't be found. So I try the 800-853-0473 and all I get are recordings. I can't believe that I fell for this, the lady was a smooth talker and a fast talker. She just kept telling me that it wasn't going to cost me anything ever.
I don't know how they can do this and get by with it. Something needs to be done.
