In 1999 i had a charge off on a visa card with chase the account was sold to financial asset, and then to associated recovery i tried to make a settlement but the acct. Went back to chase and then unifund. Unifund refuse to make settlement so no activity has been made on this account.in louisiana the statute of limitation is 5yrs. It has been 8yrs they have continued to report this charge off as a new account on my credit report. To top it off they are trying to charge interest on a dead charged off account.
