"Dispose of Pets" to "Dispose of Debt"

Mary Morris at Client Services had the insensitivity to advise me to "get rid of" my cats to pay off my debts. (She asked what I spend my 'extra' money on.)

And Mary, HOW would you suggest I 'get rid of' my pets? Turn them out into the cold? Turn them into the shelter? Quit feeding the little things? What a horrid, unfeeling comment to make to a broke animal lover!
