I agree with other posters that America's Servicing Company takes a long time to process mortgage loan payments. My loan was sold to them in April I normally mailed my mortgage payments on the 7th of every month. I live in Washington, DC and the payments at that time to ASC were sent to Baltimore, MD (less than 30 miles away). This ccompany does not offer an on-line payment option. I sent my first payment and it was not processed until the 17th of the month. Due to it being the first payment after my loan was transferred they extended the grace period. It took 10 days to process a payment. I called them and asked them if they were holding payments in order to charge customes a late fee.
Now I routinely mail my mortgage payments on the 5th of each month to avoid any problems. This has been working for me, the payment is processed in 5 days. I still think 5 days for processing is a long time, the processing time for another lender I had with another property I owned was much faster.
I am skeptical about this company's business practices.
