Received a letter that was addressed to a business that I have not worked at for over 5 years. The people in the office knew where I had moved to and forwarded it to me. Quite shocking, it appeared to be a collection letter for a subscription to The Wall Street Journal for $53.75 (a 26 week term). Per the letter, I could only dispute in writing and mail to the Agency in the next 30 days. I was able to research a phone number for North Shore Agency and spoke to a lady that stated that she would remove me from her list. She also gave me the number to The Wall Street Journal. I spoke to a rep for the newpaper and there was no record of my name or an outstanding bill! This company is just trying to make you think that you owe and hoping you will pay without questioning. They are probably making a fortune of their tricky means of business.
