As I believed ignoring a 900 AT&T telephone bill which originally was in dispute and I thought AT&T will send me a settlement in the future for the reduced amount, they instead referred it to palisades collections who sent it to pressler and pressler. I was an ATT customer for 7 years nonstop when they were almost the only ones on the market, then I requested them to change the plan from a minimal amount of minutes to the 1000 minute plan which I thought would be done immediately, so I started using the phone asap to finish a closing on the house that I was buying in 1997. As to my surprise the bill came for 800 and I was shocked, they never switched immediately and I was stuck with their reasoning of prorating and time of usage and so forth (very confusing). They promised an adjustment and that never happened, they gave me a 50 bucks discount. Since I felt ripped off I cancelled the account and ignored it being righteous and all... (big mistake.)
As it was referred to pressler, the amount jumped to $1248 which was surprising and they called and sent letters. I got sued and never went to court due to my being in Florida which is my next future residence and I was working on fixing my sister's house and getting a job there and moving with my wife which has difficulties handling New Jersey winters and I do not have health insurance for neither of us.
The judgement came and for some reason it was $1748. They put a lien on my house which I thought was sufficient for them and I had no further steps to take. Then I wanted the lien removed so I made an over the phone payment from my corporate checking account from a corporation which I own but really has no value, I have one partner with one van as an asset and all investment is at risk, I am in the food distribution subcontractor. After that payment I got a bank levy on my account for $880 which cost me another 280 in ovelimit and other charges. They sent me a copy of the levy after all the charges and I almost bounced an IRS check due to the levy. The letter was a release letter which I was supposed to sign and return but I mistook it for a receipt for the levy so the money is still on hold in the bank... A month later, yesterday July 24th I got another levy for the full amount of 1788 which the bank said is presented by a judge to the court. This time I had to hold my business because I had no money to gas my van or car and I got charged 300 plus dollars on my account due to an overdraft fee of 35 dollars each time I put 25 dollars worth of gas. Multiply that by about 10 fillups on two cars the last week =350, including other purchase from home depot and autozone to keep my business running. It turns out the first levy was not yet released and they are deducting the new amount based on the original number... LET'S SEE: first payment 600, bank levy one was 800, bank levy 2 was 1800 and each time Wachovia bank takes $100 for themselves, on top of them charging you overdraft fees of over $400. Where these numbers come from I still can't understand, Pressler paralegals with attitudes say when the second levy is released to them they will send back the first levy, I would like to see that happen.
Anyway this is going on, if someone wishe to email me regarding some questions I have please do so. Do they have the right to put a levy on a corporate account to begin with? Do they have the right to ignore payments and levy complete amount again? A second levy while the first levy is on the way?
I used to believe in the judicial system, but now I have proof that they all work together and each one pays the other with the scam money they receive.
