I was searching on the web a few weeks ago for a personal loan. I got a call from a guy by the name of George Rodriguez (ext 234). He told me I was approved for a $5,000 loan. But I had to secured it by making 3 months in advance. Which was 460.00.
He said once they recieved it they would direct deposit the 5,000 in my account within a few hours. I was desperate and needed the money. I'm a single mom with 3 kids. Anyway, He told me to send it by Western Union to a man by the name of Richard Hamilton in North York, ON Canada. This did strick me as odd, but I still did it anyway.
So, I called him back and gave him the MTCN#. George said "Great", it should be in your account in a few hours. Needless to say midnight that night it still wasn't in there.
Well, lol, apparently they had a problem trying to get the money. This is when i got suspicous. George called me the next morning (7/14) and asked me to go back up and put a security question and wave the ID required on it. He that Richard was out of town and his assistant was trying to confirm it was in there before they released the loan to me. So I did. I went back to Western Union.
Well, when I got back to work, I found this website and I couldn't believe everything I was reading. I was lucky, I was able to contact Western Union and the money was still there. I told the lady what was going on and she stopped the transaction right then.
I am still however getting calls from this George. I still trying to decide what I want to say to him, if anything. I just can't believe how horrible this world is getting. And what steps people are taking just to make money.
I wish there was something we all could do to put a stop to this.
