I was a customer of Miracle Management Group of Carson, NV or is it Scottsdale, AZ or is it Irving, Texas? Where ever they are located. I became a customer to remove the debt of 5 credit cards. They were successful in elimiating the debt of two of the cards. Due to the amount of two of the other cards they basically became a profit and loss for the company, it lowered my credit score for a while, but became negligible after a few years, the final card however was the kicker.
I was taken to court, thankfully, the case was settled with the credit card company. Unknown to us, this particular company NEVER settles any credit card debt with these kinds of companies, and Miracle Management Group knew this before we submitted this card.
I cancelled my membership with them in August using my own cancellation letter as they indicated in the instructions for cancelling, the then faxed me a letter they wanted me to sign and send back, which I did, I was informed that 4-6 weeks latter I would get a refund. It is now March 13, I have not gotten my $3650 back yet. I email them at least twice a week with no response. I would call, but I have no working number for them any longer. I would also agree to a class action law suit as many people are out of their money.
My recommendation to anyone involved in this situation is to contact all of your creditors make your own arrangements and settlement offers, do not be afraid of the companies or going to court, it may be difficult at first, however you will get through it. Also, do not use your credit card any more, use debit cards linked to your bank accounts, if you don't have the money, you cannot purchase what you are looking at and what you probably do not need. Take it from someone that knows Credit Cards are not good to use if you do not have any self control. If you need a card use one that you have to completely pay off the next month (A Charge Card) that way you never carry a balance and you do not incure interest.
