In 2002 our son filed bankrupcy. His address was the same as ours. Both him and my husband have the same name, one is jr. And the other is sr. They filed bankrupcy on both our credit reports. We fought with them for 1 year, and finally hired an attorney in 202 i give this attorrney every piece of paper need for this case.in retuirn for 2 years all she did was make a couple phone calls and send a couple letters.in return we were charged nearly $3000. Finally we fired her and decided to try again on our own. I wrote emc and gave them conditions. They replied and took $3000 off our loan. Never once saying anything about my husbands credit being ruined for 3 years. 2 weeks ago i called for a payoff on the mortgage. Got it today, its a joke. They added the $3000 back onto the principle. Making usa owe more yhen the principle. I have fought with them now going on 5 years and now i'm ready to take them to court on my own if i have to.
