Received the following from First Protective
Notice of Non-Renewal of Homeowners
This policy will protect you only until the date shown above, the reason for this action is that the property insured does not meet the requirements of the First Protective Insurance Company because:
It doesn't meet minimum coverage required and is not eligible for coverage.
Upon contact my agent, they told me that this insurance company is doing this to ALL OF ITS POLICYHOLDERS, irregardless of how long they have been with the company, whether or not they have a claim with the company, etc.
We have been with this company for more than 5 years, have never had a claim, have paid all of our premiums on time.
My agent suggests we do two things: file a compalint with the Florida Department of Insurance and attempt to file a class action suit against this company.
We are doing both and would like anyone interested to contact me at my email address: [email protected].
We would also like to find an attorney who is willing to file this class action suit on behalf of all policyholders who have been screwed by this company.
They took our money, knowing full well they were going to take this action and should be stripped of their ability to sell insurance in the State of Florida.
