I accepted a complimentary report from ClearCredit in 2003; but it immediately became clear that their services were more or less useless and expensive. I emailed and a rep replied that they would indefinitely put my account on hold.
Last week, 1st Credit called trying to charge me a $59.95 cancellation fee, for which ClearCredit had never even billed me. And their agent sounded like he'd caught a mouse in his trap.infuriating.
I guess I'll be contacting the Texas AG right away. I will not stand for this.
