On May 26 I seen a commercial on tv advertising that I could acquire a gateway computer for low weekly payments for 3 months. So I decided to call. The lady told me over the phone that it would be $99.00 down and $40.00 a week for 3 months and then I would receive my computer. However, before anything would be withdrawed out of my checking account I would receive a contract in the mail that I would have to sign and send back.
I received that contract on July 6 but my account had already been hit for the $99.00 and the first weekly payment of 40.00. After reading the contract I knew that I wanted to cancel my order because the total contract amount was way more than what the lady had originally told me.
So I contacted Blue Hippo on July 7 and was told that I could cancel but there would be no refunds. I argued that point and they told me I would have to fax a complaint to their legal department and they would have to investigate.
To date I have yet to get my money back and they have hit my account for nearly $400.00. And I am still awaiting a response from them. My advise to anyone considering dealing with these people you better look else where.
