In December I purchased a vehicle from a known dealership.
Americredit was the lender of the loan. Since its inception I have had nothing but bad experiences with their "customer service" department.
I was late with a particular payment and the agent advised me that this "was not burger king and you can't have it your way." I have since filed a cease and diciest letter not to contact me via telephone and have placed a complaint with the company. I am outraged at their repose to this - only stating that they have had problems with this agent in the past.
Then why is he still allowed to handle customers or even have a job there?
I wouldn't be surprised if a class-action lawsuit is not in the making. I also questioned pre-payments (several months at one time) and was advised to send a note to tell them which months I was paying, but after reading someone else's complaint decided against it. My payments are now up to date and I intend on paying this loan off well before its maturity.
