I was told that I could receive a secured mastercard for $395 with a $2500 limit at 0% interest. He told me that I would receive the card within 5 working days, and that I could just take the fee out of the mastercard when it arrived, and reimburse my account. I realized what I had done, and tried to call back and tell them that I wanted to cancel.
I never got a live person, so I left my name and number on their answering machine, with a message that I wanted to cancel. The message assured me that I would receive a telephone call within 24 to 48 hours. I tried calling them back but could not reach a live person. When I finally did get someone to respond, the charge was already taken out of my account. Since I felt that there was no way to get my money back, I kept calling and telling them that I hadn't received my card. The customer service representative told me to wait two weeks. I called back after two weeks, and they told me I had to wait three weeks. This continued for 2 months.
I waited until after the holidays and told them I hadn't received anything. They told me to wait until the end of the month when they would update the file and send to management. I called in February and they informed me that there was a mistake and they would send the card out by FedEx. After, 2 weeks passed I called back and the number was disconnected.
Luckly I found this website and begin tracking down on how to get my money back. When Advantage Plus processed my payment, they did it by electronic check. There was a telephone number on the check (800-394-3468) that was to a payment processing center. The agent informed me that I would have to fax (727-524-8695) them a refund request letter. I hope this is the road to everyone receiving a refund.
