BEWARE Ripoff Force into Foreclosure

My parents had their mortagage in 1998 with a company called Southeastern Mortgage who sold their mortgage to The Money Store within a month, which then sold to HomEQ.
This is where it started... HomEQ was always adding all these fees to their account and in 2004 my father became very sick and got behind for jan, feb, and march. Their normal payment was 714.54 monthly.

He had set up an agreement with HomEQ to pay extra payments beginning in April to take care of his past due.in April he sent 1500.00, like agreed on, well they refused his payment sent it back to him and he received foreclosure papers. He continued to send 1500.00 per month and also 714.54 normal payment. They returned over 8500.00 worth of payments and kept adding late fees and attorney fees. He passed away in Dec. 2004 and when we called to find out what we needed to do to save the house, they told us we would have to come up with 14000.00 within a 2 day period. For the 8500.00 he was behind.

The rest they said were late fees and attorney fees. We filed a Chapter 13 to save the house and we were to resume our normal payments March 5 and we also pay the court 190.00 per month on a reorganization plan to pay his delinquent bill.

I called HomEQ to get a correct address to send a payment to. The first lady told me we needed to send 6,430.00 and gave me a charolotte, nc address. When I disputed her, she transferred me to another lady that told me we were delinquent in Jan and Feb payments, and gave me a california address to send payment to and told me to contact their attorney. I called their attorney and they told me their file was closed due to bankruptcy I would need to contact HomEQ.

The next day I called again and this time the lady told me we were delinquent in jan and feb. And gave me a completely different address than the other 2 I had gotten the day before.

I asked to speak to her supervisor which also said we were delinquent, and gave me now a 4th address (None of the address were the same) when I asked what the address was the lady I had just spoke with gave me she said she didn't know what address that was.

I asked her if she was trying to give me the run around so the payment would be late and she could refuse it and start foreclosure again. She was very rude and nastey. She then told me to call their attorney. I told her they told me to call her their file is closed. Then she tried to say she didn't recieve bankruptcy papers. (then why wasn't the house sold in Jan. As planned if no bankruptcy papers were received) I then asked her for a payoff and she said it would take 5-7 days to get it. (don't understand that one either) I have talked with a lady at the SC Dept of Consumer Affairs and she is having me to mail her everything that I have on this company.
Something needs to be done. These people take advantage of hardworking people who are just trying to survive. They try to force you into foreclosure so they can take your house.

We need a class action lawsuit to stop these people.
Anyone know of a lawyer that is willing to handle a large class action?

I printed out all of these 144 reports and have also sent to Dept. Of Consumer Affairs so she can see that this is happening everywhere and it's not just my family being taken advantage of.
