We had a mortgage with EMC for 2 years and had perfect payment history until we decided to sell our home.in short, we had a puchase agrement on our home and EMC agreed since we had a signed contract with a buyer, we could put our payments deferment until sold. Over all it would increase the total payoff amount.
When it came time sell the home and close, EMC lost the agreement, charged us a payoff penalty and reported late charges to the credit agency's. Now we have a 1600 escrow acount with a mortgage company and a no mortgage.
Thank God we no longer have EMC, but now have damaged credit. Does anyone have ANY sugestions. I know this is hardly a drop in the bucket to some of the reports I've read, but they owe me money now and I won't take it lightly!
