I have had the misfortune of twice being the victim of damages incurred by Nationwide customers.in both cases I dealt with Nationwide with integrity and honesty.in both cases all I wanted was to cover the cost of the physical damage.
In both cases they were a horror to deal with. I am presently waiting for a court date in which they refuse to pay for damages to my property. I was awarded the $4834.00 in damages plus interest in a Court Ordered Arbitration but they still are trying to wear me down. It has been 2 1/2 years now! It is a disgrace that they would choose to involve our courts and citizens time as a jury to fight a claim that is obviously their responsibility to pay.
Most people I have talked to in the legal and insurance industry agree that Nationwide is the worst to deal with. They are the ones who deal with them on a regular basis. Sure, Nationwide takes care of some of their claims... They need to have a few marketing stories out there. One of the things I find most frustrating about them is that the Agent that sells and services the policy holders is not allowed to be involved in a claim. They turn that over to the Claims and Legal Department. So the agent is nothing more than a selling machine... Not someone who can bring insight and relationships to the table to help settle claims. They are not a company that I would choose to do business with!
