I had a Sprint PCS account, and cancelled it in summer of 2004.in November of I paid the remaining balance, got the confirmation number, and thought it was done and over with.
However, I recieved a bill from RPM (Recievables Performance Management), stating I still owed the amount. The letter was to settle for 80% of the remaining bill. They called me multiple times, and when I tried to find out why, and then later telling them the bill was paid, they were very rude: such as telling me they didn't believe me, and hanging up on me. I finally called Sprint themselves, and they could not confirm in their records that I had paid, either.
Then recieved another call from RPM, and realized the confirmation number they gave me and the reference number on the most current bill were a MERE DIGIT OFF OF EACH OTHER. I still was on the phone with them, and of course after some arguing with them that I would not pay them again, as the monies had come out of the bank, they realized that the payment had been taken from the bank, and that it was applied to someone else's account.
However, they expect me to fax them a copy of my bank statement from the month of November, and wait for them to confirm it all, to take it off of my name.
So far, I have not sent them the statement, and they have yet to get back to me about the bill and it's close.
I am reporting them for being very rude, and trying to get more money out of me that I am NOT going to pay. Then I am expecting an apology from them, for putting that on my credit report, and making such an influential "mistake". Also for the way they have treated me over the phone for the last few months, as it was completely their error, and I know I am not going to recieve that from them.
