On 11/10/04 I received a phone call from Centurion Financial offering me a credit card with a limit of $2000. This was the 10th time they had called and the first time I answered. I was told this card would get me on the road to good credit. There was a one time fee of $249.
Half asleep I authorized a withdrawal directly from my checking account. When I realized what was happening I had the bank to stop payment for any amount from Centurion Financial. This was done on 11/23/04. The money was with drawn on 11/30/04 anyway. I checked with my bank and put in a Rederal Regulation E dispute form. I'm still waiting to hear from my bank.
I received no answer from the toll free number given. It was busy or I was put on hold. I never received a return call or the information I was to receive.
What can I do? I'd at least like to ge my $249.00 back.
