I was contacted by these losers, just like alot of you. They offered 8k grant to pay my credit cards and wanted $257 to process the grant. They said they were a government agency. I told them that they are scammers and I will do everything I can to stop them. I even said to the guy, "nobody is going to give you their bank accounts for you to scam them, " to which he replied, "alot of people do." I wish I'd recorded that.
Anyways, law enforcement seems dismally interested in persuing these guys although we should all file a report with them.in the mean time I have a suggestion for all to get back a little bit at them. They have to pay for their 800 number, and most 800 numbers are charged by volume, so clog up their phone lines. Call day and night, or for those who have automatic redialers on their phones, let them rip. It may not stop them, but I garauntee they won't be happy!
