I was called by a friend a couple of weeks ago to go to a financial planning seminar. Once I got there I found that it was a recruiting seminar. They went through the whole spill about saving money for retirement and explained the difference between whole and term life insurance. I was immediately intrigued because I had just recently purchased a whole life insurance policy for my husband and I.

After the seminar I filled out the card they give you at the end of the seminar and decided I would like to consider coming on board. I was then called by my friend the next day and her upline wanted me to come in immediately since they were giving the last class of the year in my area. I explainded to them that my husband was leaving to go on a hunting trip and I really couldn't afford the $199 but he pressured me into getting the money to them. At the time I didn't think anything of it. I just figured he was trying to help me get started so that I would start making money faster.

When I went to pay my money I asked him several times what the $199 was for and he kepted telling me that all that money went to the state for my license. I just took their word. I told my husband about the company and how they wanted him to come in and join and he also needed to do the FNA with me as well. He refused so since I am the one who does all our finances they decided they would do the FNA with just me.

It started out fine they wrote down all our debt and how much insurance we had and then showed me that we were under insured. As he was doing my FNA he was training a couple of us. When he got to the part were he ask for 6 people that need help with their financials he told us at this part we shouldn't even go on until we get 6 people. He then got to the insurance part. He wanted me to buy insurance and make a decision right away.

No problem still I thought they were just trying to help me out. I decide to go ahead and get the insurance since I had learned we were under insured. He then got to the part were he wanted a commitment of how much money I was willing to put aside for financial planning per month. He then told us at this point if the families don't give an amount then he won't even go any further and won't even contact the families once he leaves because they are wasting his time. I don't know about you but I like time to make decisions when it comes to my money.

Well, that night I came home and did some research were I found that the license fee is only $50. So what the heck happened to my other $150. I also did not like the pushiness that he exhibited when doing my FNA. I cannot join a company that pushes people into hasty decisions about their money. Their money is their livelihood.

I called my friend the next day and told her that I decided to pull out and had stopped payment on my two checks I had written the company. She then asked me to talk to her upline and this is when it got good. Up until then I had appreciated their help as far as showing me the difference in insurances, I just didn't like the saleman approach to it.

When he got on the phone with me he was confused as to why I wanted to leave. I told him that noone was clear to me on what the $199 was used for. He then stated that it does go to the state. Then a little latter he said that it was used for books and to pay the teacher. So that was two different stories. He then asked me after trying to talk me into staying with the company if I still wanted the insurance. I told him not at this time. He wanted to know why and I told him that thanks to his company I need to do research before I buy another policy.

He couldn't understand that. I told him I wanted to get comparison quotes so I would know who had the best price. I told him if his company had the best price with the best coverage I would then buy it. He basically told me since I don't trust the company not to even bother. I then asked him so are you telling me if I do get quotes and you have the best price you don't want to do business with me. He then danced all around that question and kept saying you don't trust us. Well I don't for sure anymore.

I had two friends interested in getting a FNA done and I was planning on sending them there but warning them they don't have to make a decision right away. I was going to do that because I think they had some good points. However, once I got the comments about not trusting the company because I wanted to research a little and get different quotes I decided they must have something to hide. I don't recommend this company to anyone. I do believe some people make money doing it but I don't want to make money at the expense of others. It just isn't right.
