I have shopped at store #7612 since I moved to the area in July. Great service, especially from one individual named Jessica. Very social with customers, quick service and great attitude. She was basically the only reason I had continued coming to the location even though the prices on what I was usually buying were outrageous. I could have gone to another store in the area with better prices but because of the great customer service I opted to continue giving my service to this particular store. The other day, while inquiring within I noticed Jessica wasn't on shift like she usually was at that time. I asked the other employee who claimed to not have known where she was. The following day, same thing so I asked the other person working there who told me she was fired because she left early after not feeling well. This is absolutely ridiculous to fire someone because they were sick! To think that this person went home out of hopes of not getting others sick, esp. Well paying customers, and then gets FIRED for it... Unbelievable! I will NEVER shop at another Speedway after hearing this story and how this company treats their employees. This women did them a service working for them for over two years of her life, feels sick one day and gets fired for it! Your company is absolutely horrible and now the services I receive from that same store location is HORRIBLE. The workers are ignorant (except the one man who told me about the situation that took place), they don't care about exceptional customer service... They basically do not care about their number one priority in customer service which is... THE CUSTOMER! If you really and truly cared about your customers, you would keep good employees in your stores and not fire them for feeling ill. I see this company not making it much longer in the near future and hopefully will bail out like hostess and just disappear. Disgusting. Anyone who works for Speedway, you're better than that! Get a job at another gas station or service job! You deserve much, much better than what that company will do to you! God forbid you get sick! Sad... Bye bye Speedway! You won't be getting anymore of my money!
