I have been working hard to repair my credit score, since the death of my husband.
Equifax has my credit score at 635 and advised me to apply for a credit card to help my credit score. I applied for a Walmart Credit Card, since that is the store I shop all the time. I spend hundreds of dollars each month at Walmart. Seemed like the logical credit card to apply for.
GE Capital Retail Bank denied me, saying that Transunion gave me a score of 420. I was so upset to see such a low number, I contacted Transunion and paid for my Credit Report and Score be mailed to me. It received it, yesterday and my score is 694.
That is a 274 point difference! How did GE Capital Retail Bank come up with a score of 420?
I tried calling them and kept getting disconnected.
With this kind of business practice, I think I am going to take me business to Target.
