This morning I dropped my mascara - when I picked it up the top of the tube was broken. I went to the store this afternoon with receipt in hand to exchange product. The manager had to come up to approve the exchange - she said that she was unable to exchange the product because it was purchased 6 months ago.in reality the 6th month would be next week. She then said that people replace their mascara every 3 months, so she could not exchange. She then went on to tell me that the product was old... Basically I believe she was accusing me of breaking the tube so I could get a new tube of mascara. Up until today Ulta was one of my favorite stores. However, after today - I will be shopping elsewhere. The total receipt that the mascara was on totaled $96. Good customer service would have looked at the items on the receipt and said this is a good customer and make the exchange for the faulty packaging.
