I purchased my husband's wedding band from Kay a while back. Paid up front, paid extra for engraving, and was told they would call me when it came in. Well... 3 weeks later, I go to the store to find out what's going on and they tell me I've already picked it up. I told them this was not so, and then they say..."Oh, you husband picked it up." Not so. It was a surprise anniversary gift, he had no idea about it. Long story short, they found it. It had been sent off, sized, came back, and they put it in the case to sell. It was never sent off to be engraved. They would never refund the amount for engraving either.
Part 2: My $4,000 wedding ring has been off my finger more than on. Its constantly breaking and a piece of crap. I told them I either want a refund or a merchandise exchange of equal value. I was told they would give me a $2,000 credit for my ring and then I would hafta spend double. When I told them this was not acceptable, I was basically informed that I would hafta sue to get anywhere with this.
