A single mother in Friendswood, TX says a local nail salon charged her nearly $700 for painting her toenails. She says she was not informed of the price beforehand and was caught off guard when she received the bill. She has since filed a complaint with the salon and is warning others to be cautious when getting services done at nail salons.
It also appears the owner may be paying for fake five-star reviews - many of the glowing reviews show no evidence of an actual interaction with the business. A closer look at these reviews also suggests a pattern of the owner retaliating against anyone who leaves anything less than positive feedback. Ratings for this salon appear to be inflated for reasons unrelated to genuine customer satisfaction.
There is also a good chance the owner of Epic Nail Spa in Friendswood, TX has had past conflicts with coworkers that led her to start her own business.
This is a real, evidenced complaint. Readers are encouraged to search for further evidence of this issue and to share any relevant new information as it develops.
