Almost a year ago I arranged for direct TV to be installed at my (now) ex-boyfriends fathers home. His father was moving out and ex was having my daughter and I move in. His dad ended up not moving and our plans changed. My daughter and I never left our apartment where satellite is not allowed. The installation occurred the same week as the break up. I phoned and canceled service almost immediately. I would continue to be billed call, explain situation and that was it (I thought). Now I am getting calls from a collection agency telling me service will be reinstated as soon as I. Pay my bill of 189.00. What service? There is nothing being used at that address or my address. My credit is good and this is becoming a real pain. Single mom taking care of 6 year old angel with absolutely no assistance. This huge corporation wants me to pay for no service out of our meager budget! My credit is being threatened every day by this collection agency. I have spen 3 weeks of my lunch hour getting shuffled around to phone numbers that always lead to the automated system telling me "my interrupted service will be reinstated when I pay my bill. WHAT SERVICE? I don't even have TV in my apartment anymore because we don't have time for it. I'm in good standing with Comcast. How do these scam artist in suits look at themselves in the mirror? Hmmmm have my credit stained or pay hundreds for nothing? At this point I feel they need to pay me for all Frye time wasted on the phone. Shame on you Direct TV shame on you!
