I was in an accident and was found not at fault, and I contacted my insurance, Allstate. They recommended that I go to two places in the area to get my vehicle looked at. I did, and allegedly got the vehicle fixed in March. I called Allstate in June to complain about my vehicle not functioning properly. I was advised to bring it back to the garage and did so in June. My check engine light went on at the beginning of September, and we had it towed to the dealership. The dealership said that the engine had seized and that it was accident related. The garage is denying that it has anything to do with the seized engine. Allstate is siding with the garage that they recommended.
Did I mention that this is a 2009 vehicle with only 34,000 miles on it, and that we are the only owners it has ever had? So, with two kids, we are out of a vehicle and either have to take this to small claims court or sue. What would you do? What advice can you give me?
