I sent Midland 2 years' worth of cashier's checks, both front and back, showing they were received and cashed. This cost me time and money to get the proof they were cashed, as the credit union where I bank had to charge for copies and research to get the receipts, and then I had to get backup copies to mail to Midland by return receipt express mail.
My reward was several printed statements of unknown figures, funny numbers that are not consistent from month to month, and made-up fees, just to mention some of the mess that no one I showed it to understood. When I asked the so-called supervisor why so many people are having trouble with Midland, he would not answer my question. Not to mention that anyone you talk to refuses to give you their full name, just a number. What are they afraid of?
To the lawyer who contacted me: I lost your phone number. This is insane. BOA is in the news but not Midland. I would like to know why. Any AGs out there, how about doing something? How many vets are getting abused by Midland as I am? With only 5 years left and under $18,000 on the balance, it makes no sense to take by fraud land you cannot sell in this market!
