Hello, we wanted to complain because we have an auto loan with this company and have had it for a little over two years now. First off, we have a very high interest rate, as we have not even started paying off the vehicle. Second, we recently received a bill for twice what our payments were. So we called to find out what was going on, as we knew we were not late. We were told the computer must have fixed itself, as it shows one payment being due the 15th (it was the 10th). So the rep asked when we would be making that payment, as we couldn't make it then. My fiance stated Friday the 15th should have it or Monday the 18th. They said okay and ended the call.
Okay, so here is where we get very angry... Our house phone rang. My fiance picked up the phone and they asked for me. He thought it was a solicitor, so he said wrong number, sorry. The lady on the other end started talking about the make of our vehicle and that they were on their way to repossess it. I wasn't there, so he still stuck with "sorry, wrong number." He hung up the phone and called Westlake to find out what was going on, as it was the 14th, and was told Friday was okay as we weren't late. That's when they told him we must pay it by Friday night or they would repossess. He stated he couldn't understand why they would, as it wasn't even 30 days late.
So we called all our friends to see if we could get a payment to them and found a willing friend to spot us until we got paid. She lives 3 states away and only has a computer right now, as her cell phone is being repaired. She called to make our small payment of $330 but could only do $300, AND THEY TURNED HER DOWN BECAUSE SHE WAS $30 SHORT! She emailed me cursing them out and informed me they didn't take it, and she will try to find the rest. We have a family member who could do the rest but couldn't get ahold of the other, and Westlake still wouldn't let them pay that way! Money is money, dang it! Anyways, we are STILL trying to make our payment. We had to place a postdated check (closed account) for them to wait until Monday.
Can someone please do something about these stupid people? Maybe the BBB can?
