I have two accounts with Suntrust. One was negative $209.73 because I stopped using it after my card got stolen. The other was fine. Suntrust transferred the $209.73 from one account to the other without my knowledge. Because of this, the account that was negative went to a zero balance and the other account went to negative $650.00.
I spent a whole week talking to multiple Suntrust reps to try to get the 15 NSF fees taken off the account, but no one could help. According to them, what they did was perfectly legal. But the question is, was it morally correct? They caused me three times more debt with one silly unauthorized move!
I am currently in the process of changing banks, and I would not recommend that anyone use Suntrust, not even if they paid you to use them. It is a nickel-and-dime corporation. Please beware!
